MERIVIS VOLUNTEER SUBMISSION

“We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.”

   — Winston Churchill

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Merivis. Our volunteers are a critical part of our success; we appreciate everyone who gives us the gift of their time, opens up their networks and shares their career experience.

There are many ways to volunteer with Merivis depending on your available time and career experience. Please see below for an overview of each role and what the volunteer commitment includes. To the right you’ll find an application where you can select the role(s) you’re interested in and for which programs we offer. Once your submission is received you’ll be sent detailed instructions and next steps.

Coach – If you’re an individual that has 4+ years in the Salesforce ecosystem we invite you to serve as a coach during one of our many cohorts [KS1] during the year.

  • Time commitment: 2-3 hours each week during a 5-week program
  • Prerequisites: we ask that you have certifications that match the cohort program

Resume Reviews – A great way to help in short time commitments, you’ll be paired with a Merivis student or alumni they request assistance in updating or creating their resume. This is open to all professionals, not just the Salesforce industry.

  • Time commitment: ~ 3 hours over 1-2 conference calls

Mock Interviews – For those that interview and hire regularly you know that practice is the best way to prepare. You’ll be paired with a Merivis student or alumni as they request a mock interview either in a behavioral or technical capacity. This is open to all professionals, not just the Salesforce industry but please specify if you are able to conduct a Salesforce technical interview.

  • Time commitment: ~ 3 hours over 1-2 conference calls

Career Advice – We often have students and alumni looking for information interviews or have questions about a specific career path in the Salesforce ecosystem. This is open to all professionals but will likely be questioned about the Salesforce ecosystem so some experience is preferred.

  • Time commitment: Min ~1 hour via conference call but can vary on the scenario

Instructor – Are you a certified Salesforce instructor and want to give back in a way that helps veterans and spouses jumpstart their career? Volunteer to teach one of our cohorts

  • Time Commitment – Varies but 1 week is the best approximation
  • Prerequisites – must meet Salesforce certified instructor criteria

Event Organizer – Is planning events and programs your area of expertise? Volunteer to help by being our “boots on the ground” as we expand to new cities and reach more of the veteran community.
